About OTHDABERE Fresh Start Foundation Worldwide
The living conditions of the people in the community motivated Pastor Dorothy Ohenewa to come out with the idea to provide for the fundamental needs of the impoverished.
How We Began
OTHDABERE Fresh Start Foundation Worldwide was founded in 2018 by Pastor Dorothy Ohenewa to provide and support homeless people, the less privileged, young mothers in need, orphans, widowers, deprived communities, families in need, and other vulnerable children and people in Ghana, West Africa, and beyond.
OFSFW is a registered charity and non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) in Ghana with a branch in the United Kingdom. It embraces all with a determined heart for positive change, providing daily basic needs and care for all people in need worldwide.
Pastor Dorothy Ohenewa's calling began during a visit to Ghana, where she volunteered with the social service department and encountered families who couldn't afford basic necessities. She met pregnant women who couldn't afford food, water, or hospital bills, and teenagers who felt forced into dangerous situations just to eat. These experiences led her to establish OFSFW to combat suffering, poverty, and distress, and to promote the wellbeing of deprived communities.
The goal of OFSFW is to empower individuals and families with resources, finance, business strategies, education, training, and other means to become independent — able to support their own lives and contribute to their communities.
Our Vision
Our vision is to support the needy in our midst, creating an environment where their vision can be realized and where they can experience a life worthy of living.
Our Mission
Our mission is to generate resources by partnering with individuals, groups, other non-governmental organizations, and corporate entities to change the lives of the needy in our society in Ghana and across the continent of Africa.
